Big energy.

North East Fife Basketball exists to make quality, welcoming basketball more accessible across our local communities.

From a player's first experience of the game to those looking to develop and compete, our sessions give boys and girls of all ages a place to learn, challenge themselves and feel part of a team. Across Cupar, Tayport and St Andrews, we build skills, confidence, friendships and a lasting enjoyment of basketball.

Support the next generation

Back local
basketball.

NEF Basketball is building an inclusive club where more young people can experience quality, welcoming basketball close to home. As we grow, we want to offer more opportunities while keeping access at the heart of what we do.

We welcome support from local businesses, community partners and individuals who share that ambition. Whether you can help fund a player's place, support new equipment, develop young coaches or help us reach another community, your support can make a real local impact.

Owner & Lead Coach

Meet
Shayne.

PE teacher, experienced youth coach and the founder of North East Fife Basketball.

I started NEF Basketball after realising how few opportunities there were for children to play locally. As a dad, I wanted somewhere my own boys and other young people across the area could experience, enjoy and fall in love with the game.

I've spent more than a decade coaching children and young people across different sports, alongside over eight years working as a teacher. My approach is individual-first, games-based and collaborative: sessions should be active, welcoming and enjoyable, with lots of chances to play, make decisions, ask questions and grow in confidence.
